Every region has bosses worth gathering a group for. They never get easier or harder with more players, so bring the right people.
The Hollow Crypt
A raid dungeon under Lastlight. Stand on all four plates by the graveyard door to open it, fight through three guardians and face the Gravelord. The layout changes every time it resets.

Classes
Five classes. You pick one when you make your character and keep it for good, but every class can use every weapon.
Warrior
Holds the line
Tough and hard to kill. Your abilities shield you and pull enemies onto you, so your friends can fight in peace.
Rogue
Strikes where it hurts
Critical hits, and lots of them. Dash in, and your next abilities are sure to crit.
Cleric
The healer
Your light heals the friends it touches, your holy ground heals whoever stands in it, and every ability that lands heals everyone around you. Casts with mana.
Sorcerer
Lets the world burn
Frost freezes what you hit, and your next skill shatters it; fire leaves everything burning. Casts with mana, which your weapon's hits bring back.
Bard
Group support
Your songs follow you and your chords hold the ground, lifting the party inside; your lull slows monsters and your prey points the party at one target. Casts with mana.
The icons are each class's strongest ability with a sword, a bow, a staff and an instrument.
Make your character
- Pick your build, face, hair, beard and colours.
- Try on any armour set before you start.
- Change your look any time. Your class stays.
- Five character slots per account.
The world
One big continent in the sea. Eight regions are open now, and ten more wait under the mist.
Drag to move, pinch or scroll to zoom, and tap a region, town or icon for details. The misty land opens in later updates. Signed in, pick a character under Layers to see its own explored map.

Hollowcrown is in alpha and free to play on Windows. Things may break, and your bug reports help.

On a phone? The game runs on Windows PCs, but you can try the boss fight right here.
Download for WindowsHollowcrown Launcher, 4 MB. It downloads the game (about 460 MB) and keeps it up to date.
- System: 64-bit Windows 10 or 11
- Graphics: any DirectX 12 card from the last eight years
- Internet: you play online
- Unzip and run the launcherExtract Hollowcrown-Launcher.zip into a folder of its own and run Hollowcrown Launcher.exe: it downloads the game into that folder. If Windows warns you, choose More info, then Run anyway.
- Sign in with DiscordPress Play online and sign in once. We only see your Discord name.
- Make a characterPick a look and a class, choose a world, and you start in Lastlight.
- Always start with the launcherIt checks for updates each time and downloads only what changed.
Questions
Is it free?
Yes. The alpha is free, and every region in it is open to everyone.
Can I play alone?
Yes. Questing, gathering, crafting and most bosses work alone or with a few friends. Raids want a bigger group.
Is there PvP?
Only in the Wilds, east of Lastlight. Towns are always safe.
What happens when I die?
Your things drop in a bag where you fell. Only you can open it for 5 minutes, so go back for it.
Why Discord?
It's how you sign in. After the first time, your PC signs you in by itself.
Something broke. What do I do?
Press F8 in game. It sends us a bug report with a screenshot.

Your characters in 3D with their gear, skills and rewards. Choose which ones everyone can see.
Sign in
Use the Discord account you play with. Hollowcrown only sees your Discord name, never your email or messages.

Players can make a character public. Type its name to see it.
